The Hip-Clip Suspender also know as the "trucker" suspender, is perferred by truckers becasue ther clips are located on the side,
completely eliminating the possiblity of the clips flipping open when sliding into a seat.
The clips being on the side also prevents yhr clips from digging into your back and belly
while sitting on a long haul.
Elastic straps crisscross the back so it feels like waering a holster more then a suspender.
